At Primaris, we take the health and safety of our employees, tenants and stakeholders very seriously.
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic. Primaris has a Pandemic policy in place and we have been monitoring the situation closely.
We have outlined below an update on how we are handling the COVID-19 issues at our malls across the country:
In addition to the elevated cleaning protocols already in place, Primaris has implemented the following precautionary measures:
Provided additional hand sanitizers at all entrances
Included information in the public washrooms for best hand washing practices
Suspended the use of strollers, wheelchairs and scooters
De-activated water fountains and water bottle fill stations
Temporarily discontinued the use of food court trays
Cancelled or re-scheduled special events that result in large gatherings including March break activities
Suspended the use of children’s play areas and kiddie rides
Some helpful tips to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Avoid touching your face with your hands (eyes, nose, mouth)
Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze with a tissue and dispose of the tissue in the trash
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Monitor workplace sickness, especially those who have been overseas
Clean and disinfect frequently touched items on a regular and consistent basis
Stay home if you are sick
We are reducing our mall operating hours on Monday March 16, 2020. Please visit our property websites for updated hours of operation.
